Today's question:
What specializations do you expect to see become the norm in community management in the next five years?
The community for community builders.

I wrote a blog post about this a few months ago, but I think we're going to start seeing more community operations folks (and, honestly, probably plenty of other specific roles that don't exist yet once companies start investing in community teams and people are able to stop wearing 20 different hats and only wear... 10).
Hard retweet on this — people who can help streamline platforms and processes will be essential to a healthy community program!
Couldn't agree more Lauren! All of the above and maybe a Product Manager of Community (Ops would probably live under this role?)
I think it could -- but probably depends on the company and org structure. But definitely similar functions, in my opinion!
I think there could be a specialty in programming or content (maybe this is a sub-specialty of content marketing).
+1 on the Operations folks. I was in the process of creating this role for 2021 as all the ‘things’ were just too much to be part of the day to day. Historically this role has been around for those teams who could afford the luxury, but with a renewed focus on data, and experience design, I suspect this role will become a must-have for anyone wanting to level up their team.
Community Programs, Community Engagement, Community Operations, and maybe even Community Marketing / Community Growth!
