Discussion on: When to start a community/hire a CM

Something to you want a community or do you want an audience? A community means that members are connecting with and helping each other. How would your members be helping one another? What would be the value for THEM in being part of your community? (Food for thought!) But I also agree with what @oana said in that...if there's even a remote possibility that you'll be starting one, get planning NOW. Figure out your strategic plan first, and then look at that plan to determine if your CM would need to be part-time or full-time.
