As we all know, this holiday season may be lonley for some... but with the power of technology and community builders, I believe there are ways to keep our communities uplifted and supported.
How are you keeping the holiday spirit alive in your online communities? I would love to know!
Discussion
We've sort of intentionally chosen to not do anything very actively. Personally, having more time to myself and my family is exactly what I need this holiday season, and I've been appreciative of the companies and communities that aren't going too hard.
Sometimes doing nothing and giving people space to breathe is whats needed.
Totally love this perspective, Mac. I think people need a break as well! I have some funny GIF's and lists of some holiday themed movies that our community can have some watching, but am not putting pressure on people to be joyful.
Thank you for the perspective!
No problem! It's sometimes hard to step back from your community, even if its whats best for it. It's something I struggle with a lot as a community workaholic π
I think it starts with a lot of listening. If you feel like you have a good pulse of the situation, you can say something, but since everyone is dealing with things in such different ways across the world, make sure youβre not making too many assumptions.
Agreed. Thank you for your insight, Ben!!
