Moderating Off-Topic Posts

Hi all!

I run a product-focused forum that our PM's sometimes post on to announce new updates or solicit feedback. Sometimes our community will respond to these posts with unrelated comments about other areas of the product they want to weigh in on.

I'm curious if you all experience this as well and if so, do you moderate these posts and delete or move them from that specific thread? We want to keep things productive but also not create a culture where folks are scared to respond because their response might be moderated.

Thanks!

I believe it has to be just repeated messaging by you and any superusers on the right usage of the post/category and redirecting them to the right place. Maybe the navigation ease needs to be looked at.
