Discussion on: Developer advocate vs developer relations leader — who to hire first

For us, we have been doing DevRel for ages. We originally had the leader and the advocate selected from current staff. Over the years, things shifted, and we had disparate pieces spread throughout the company. We are not finally getting back to a true DevRel experience for our Developers. Like you say, its best to do what makes the most sense for your company. My personal opinions is that one person can do both, though having both separated is a much better experience for all.

Thanks for the post!
