Hi Oana,

Is the following book on your radar?

7 Rules for Positive, Productive Change by Esther Derby

I enjoy how practical the book is for implementing anything new or different from the norm. Esther's writing style is excellent.

One key takeaway which continues to stand out for me is: Honour the past, present and people.

I reflect that we are sometimes so keen to move to the new thing that we often forget why things are the way they are. It doesn't mean we can't change and as Esther puts it, "paradoxically, honoring the past helps people let go of it."

Good luck with getting buy-in from your peers.

Hi Simon! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this one. I'm not familiar with the book, but I'll be. 😋

I like to quote about honoring the past, and I genuinely resonate with it.

In fact, in the last couple of months, I gained a lot of buy-in internally because I started to change the communication approach. In other words, I did not assume anything, and I kicked off conversations from a place of curiosity. It brought me plenty of amazing insights.

Thanks and keep up the great work,
Oana
